"Maybe", she pondered, "but would it be ethical?"

"Is that right," she raged, "I'll render unto you a caesarean share all right. I do your shopping from tomorrow."

"Be careful", said Rosh, "Online advertisements can be scams."

"Not for rentals," Hosh was skeptical, "Not on reputable websites. I am only looking at adverts from reputable real estate agencies, and that too for accommodation within my own country."

“If 10,000 pesos is about 20 NZD”, Josh calculated, “he’s just paid a scam artist $160 for a fare that should have been $0.16.”

“That’s not like taking a 100 pesos for an 80 pesos fare”, Isha was gob smacked by the magnitude of the scam, “that’s taking over a 1,000 times more than was due!”

“So it is the day starting from January 1 in any year, when the average citizen stops working for their Government and starts earning for themselves."

"Because it is a calculated day, it falls on different days in different countries.”

"What possible good can there be?" he whispered.

"For me? In the destruction of my life's work? My wealth? My confidence?"

Quietly he lay, staring at the white hospital ceiling. It was a plain canvas, unlike his own life. If only life could be as uncluttered as ceilings were.

“Midas was stupid”, Josh voiced his opinion, “why didn’t he just wear gloves? That would have been much safer."

"He could have had the gold and touched things without turning them into gold.”

There was pin drop silence for a moment. Then Hosh spoke up.

"What a life mate!" our friend crowed, "Zed security. Such fame. And such beauty."
